A-Frames
[ABSTRACT]: Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) system utilizing gravity flow channels. Triangular configuration maximizes solar exposure while minimizing footprint.
Technical Specs
60° incline angle prevents upper canopy shading. Suitable for equatorial and temperate sun angles.

Components
-
01
UPVC Channels
Food-safe square profile (100mm x 50mm) with removable lids.
-
02
Steel Frame
Galvanized structural steel A-frame support structure.
-
03
Intake Manifold
Pressure compensated micro-tubing for equal flow.
-
04
Catchment Rail
Gravity return gutter system to main tank.
System Analysis
The A-Frame system addresses the issue of horizontal space in medium-to-large operations. By angling the grow channels, we increase the planting area by roughly 300% without increasing the footprint.
This design uses the Nutrient Film Technique (NFT), where a shallow stream of water containing all dissolved nutrients recirculates past the bare roots of plants in a watertight gully (channel). A mat of roots develops in the gully, taking up oxygen from the air above the flow.
